Xenaverse News:

There’s a ton of reports and pictures at AUSXIP. Katherine Fugate’s new TV show Army Wives premiered on June 3 on Lifetime.

Calling All Xena Fans! A woman named Star is conducting a study on Xena fans. She says: “The purpose of my study is to analyze the media content and representations of gays/lesbians on the television program Xena: Warrior Princess (Tapert, 1995) and to explore its use of gay/lesbian subtext as an example of a non-normalized queered televised curriculum. The use of the word ‘subtext’ in this study will refer to the verbal and non-verbal cues the characters of the show relayed to its audience members.” If you’d like to help her out, send an email to warriorprincessintraining@yahoo.com.

There are a ton of pictures and reports in the Lucy section of AUSXIP. Pictures of Lucy at the BSG panel she moderated. Video interview on Collider.com with Lucy before the panel she moderated.

There’s a great article over at Renée’s Ghost Town site about the premiere. Over on MaryD’s site, there is a request from Missy Good: “_Help Support Renee’s Movie Diamonds and Guns…. Need some help here. I think most folks know Renée has done a film called Diamonds and Guns – she showed a bit of it at the convention the other day. As a bit of research, could everyone who would like to see this released please go to IMDB.com - search on Renée’s name, and then click on ’Diamonds and Guns’ - it would be very helpful. Feel free to pass this to all corners of the fandom.”_

The fan fiction review this show is The High Pass by Jim. The video review is “Grillz“ by bandbexclusive. The forum thread is “Some Pondering Late at Night“ at XOC.
